Very helpful tips!
Could you try posting something with throwing bigger vases and bowls to be carved?
dan, how do you keep your tools from chattering when you trim? i’m getting so frustrated with mine.
Awesome. Nice and quick….”simple” as you put it. I must try it out sometime, I just started out a few month’s ago and love it…(throwing clay that is).. I’m glad I found you online, your amazing dude! Always a pleasure to watch and learn!! Did you make your own scraping tool? the one you use to get the clay off the bottom? I need one of those..:) Jose

Notice you still leave the pot attached to the bat when you carve. Must help with keeping it steady while you pierce. Nice tip. Thanks!

Hey, I’m not as dumb as I look !!!!! ha ha. It sure doesn’t seem like it’s a problem for you.
Thanks, Dan. Another top clip.
@pensandcalls You’re right.
The starter broke on the motor and I’ve not got round to getting it fixed.
smh simple yet awesome. How much do you sell those for?
Beautiful as always! I hope you don’t mind that I made a few vases using you slip decoration method where you scrape away some of it with a rapid movement of your finger. I find it a beautiful touch.
Also, out of curiosity, why do you give your wheel a spin to start it? No starting capacitor on motor or something else? Just curious.
Tom
first one to watch it!
