My stay in London was established in the center of my long stay abroad adventure. Christchurch, New Zealand traveled through Bangkok and the beautiful city of London. Flying above the area was exciting, looking down on the Thames River was great and for some reason reminded me of the TV show Eastenders.
After settling in the apartment of my sister, I had some valuable sleep, traveling can be great fun but the jet lag can be done quickly back to earth. The next day I went to St. Paul's Cathedral, a monument is impressive and worth the visit. After the usual tourist photos front of St. Paul, went to the Tate Modern art gallery. They had some really fascinating exhibitions at a time with some great sculptures and artwork.
Title I went out to eat everything that reminded me how much is expensive in London, having exchanged New Zealand dollars to pounds sterling, after Bangkok, very cheap, I realized that this part of my vacation would be expensive. Holidays are all spending money, but that it was time to move on and spend a little more.
Being a big sports fan myself I love to discover some of Wimbledon tennis. After the first day was rained out I decided against making the trip to the park and see what my chances were entering. It turned out I only had to wait in line, a particular line mass! Fortunately, the wait in line was be a part of the fun, I received my queue card, my official guide book and many other queues Goodies that have been presented to those who waited patiently. We expect in line for an hour and half since the end it was not so bad especially compared to the other line of people queuing for tickets to play the good times!
Upon entering the legendary Wimbledon complex I realized it was much more than a little tennis, it was like a small city that was so big. I saw some games out of court first had to pinch myself to actually watch tennis at Wimbledon, where were my strawberries cream? After some good speed control of my game I dare to confess to the main courts, I managed to buy some tickets for resale to the main courts and ended up watching both Raphael Nadal and Andy Murray could not believe! The atmosphere was, incredibly, even for so early in the tournament.
The next day involved a lot of time on the subway and on foot, as I made my way to London museums. I went to the Science, the Victoria & Albert, Natural History and British museums and appreciated throughout the world, just the buildings have been impressive. I especially liked all the Egyptian and Greek artifacts such as vases, statues and the Rosetta Stone. It is unfortunate that things had limited time because there were so many interesting than view.
For dinner, we went to the ivy a very elegant restaurant that my sister had booked well in advance. The food was good and friendly atmosphere, if not a little pretentious. After a few drinks at a local bar that meandered back to Clapham Common and my sister's apartment. It was a great day of sightseeing and no doubt one that will not soon forget. Luckily I bought enough memory on my digital camera for life because I took many pictures.
London is full of places incredible and justice that he would spend weeks exploring its vast tracts. The only problem is that it may be time to get from A to B, so be prepared to some frustrating delays in underground lines in places of great interest. Fortunately, you're never disappointed with what lies London is a destination that should be on every traveler to do.
